People tend to waste more water when using a shower, to prevent this the light rim around the showerhead is programmed to project a calming (at night to help people sleep easy) or alerting light (to wake people in the morning) for the first 7 minutes of the shower followed by a red light that makes the water appear red in color and forces people to stop wasting more water than required, followed by a siren-like sound if people still don't stop.
