A hand me down from the resident's neighbor, the sofa was in tatters when it arrived and was re-upholstered using clothes found while digging up the Mavallipura landfill to construct new housing buildings. The patchy look of the sofa has become a popular present-day aesthetic due to the expensiveness of natural textiles owing to the diminishing agricultural resources, this has also led to a rise of planet-conscious furniture manufacturers. The various textures rendered by different fabrics also increase the tactile stimulation, for someone living alone this can give a much-needed sensory boost.
